Personality:
Daisy changes a lot during her time as a main character on Agents of SHIELD. When we first meet her as Skye she is very idealistic and has a black-and-white way of thinking. This changes because of her experiences later on. Compared to S1 where she views Ward as an irredeemable traitor, she is willing to give other characters such as Ruby Hale a second chance, offering to make her a good SHIELD agent instead of condemning her for her HYDRA upbringing. She has come to realize – owing to her time in the Framework among other things – that everyone has the potential for darkness, like Fitz, and goodness, like Ward, and which side they end up on depends very much on their circumstances instead of an inherent evil they are born with. She has also personally been confronted with her own potential to be a danger to others, even humanity as a whole, when she first receives her powers and cannot control them, as well as later on when she is known as the Destroyer of Worlds in a post-apocalyptic future.

Daisy is driven by a desire to fit in, to find a family, people she truly belongs with since she grew up as an orphan. Once she has grown attached to someone she is incredibly loyal, possibly to a fault. In the case of wanting to save Coulson’s life in S5, a man she loves as a father, she goes so far as risking the safety of the planet for a chance to save his life. Later on in S6 she is also shown to be willing to casually torture people by breaking their fingers in order to gather intel on Fitz’ possible location in deep space more quickly. While she generally falls on the side of good, instances such as these show that she possesses an amount of moral flexibility, especially when it helps her achieve a goal that is important to her personally.

Despite getting hurt as a result of trying to find a family several times she is a very emphatic and caring person who wants to protect others from harm. She has a soft spot for children and people in need. This goes so far that she considers SHIELD, an agency meant to protect humanity from numerous threats, to be her life, in no small part due to its Director, Phil Coulson, giving her a purpose and believing in her when nobody else would.

She can be very stubborn and hates losing more than the average person, which means that she doesn’t give up easily. She has a drive to grow as a person, to become stronger and better at what she does. This can first be seen when she trains to become a SHIELD agent in the first season, and also translates to her receiving her powers and exploring them later on.

Weaknesses/Temptations:
She shows a pattern of thinking that she does not deserve forgiveness, which is displayed in her behaviour after she had been controlled by Hive. While this happens to Daisy and her resulting actions are not something she can be held accountable for, she feels extremely responsible for the people hurt by her actions when she was controlled and blames herself for being unable to fight Hive’s control despite it being impossible for her to so. Her feelings of guilt over this (and several other things she has been through) may become a distraction.

Her list of sins is also very long, so that could simply be quite discouraging. Especially considering that at the point she is taken from she just sacrificed her life for the greater good to beat a powerful enemy and has no idea that she is about to be revived by her sister. From her perspective she is dead and thus getting to return to her world doesn’t make a lot of sense. Generally speaking, she is a lot more likely to focus on survival in hell and try to help others in their quest for redemption rather than seek it out for herself.

Generally speaking, she tends to get attached to others and tries to help them as much as possible. This can also apply in this situation where she will be inclined to make sure others are as okay as they can be considering the circumstances. She is full of compassion for others as well as very stubborn and loyal, which makes her prone to attempt to help others – particularly Fitz and Simmons who she has been very close with in canon – rather than focus on her own redemption.

In canon she is on what basically is a lifelong quest to find a place she truly belongs, a family. While she ends up finding one, in SHIELD, she has been through a lot in her lifetime. She has been betrayed and disappointed and watched people she loved die, which gives her numerous openings that can be exploited by hell. She could therefore be distracted by an alternate version of events she wanted to be true (happily growing up with her parents, Lincoln surviving etc).

Powers/Abilities:
Vibration manipulation: The ability to tap into the vibration frequency of anything, including the ground, the air and people. She most frequently is seen using it to create a shockwave that blasts someone across the room, but can also use her ability to make water glasses sing or quake someone to judge from the feedback she gets from their bones whether they are human or not. The shockwave can also be used to propel herself off the ground to jump onto a roof. Using her abilities takes a toll on her own bones, especially if she uses them too frequently, which is why she wears her protective gauntlets that also help focus her powers better.

Genius level hacker: Shown in canon to be able to basically hack anything. Also excellent at programming viruses such as Trojan horses and utilize databases to gather intel.

Martial artist: Since joining SHIELD in the first season she has become an accomplished martial artist, who is able to fight opponents much bigger and heavier than her. On top of that she is very apt at handling guns and is a trained sharp shooter, although she makes less use of those abilities after gaining her powers.

Items:
A second suit (in addition to the one she’s wearing)
Her gauntlets
The letter Phil Coulson left her
Her hula-girl figurine
Her laptop
Her leather jacket
